Gökçe Akgün received his B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ege University, Department of Mechanical Engineering. In 2013, he received his M.Sc. degree in the Graduate Program of Mechanical Design from İstanbul Technical University, Graduate School of Science, Engineering and Technology. Between 2012 - 2013, he was the head of Machine Programme in İstanbul Aydın University, Anadolu BİL Vocational School. In 2019, he received his PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering from Gebze Technical University, Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences, Department of Mechanical Engineering with PhD thesis entitled as Non-Linear Analysis of Superelliptic Panel and Tubular Structures. He worked as a research assistant in Gebze Technical University, Department of Mechanical Engineering between 2013 - 2019. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Haliç University where he is conducting research activities in the areas of solid mechanics, plate and shell theory, non-linear dynamic analysis of shell structures, numerical methods in engineering, composite materials and transport technics.
